'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League return

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to negotiate a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently halfway through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the initial important achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he earlier was, and would definitely consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Future success with Bayern Munich is Kane's primary focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has significantly decreased
